Jat Airlines? (AKA Serbia Airlines?)

I think this is also called Serbia Airlines, but perhaps changed it's name to Jat recently.

Anyway, anyone know anything about it or have flown it? Thinking of using it to fly JFK to Montenego in Sept.

JAT is their old name. It is now Air Serbia. Good luck.

"Good luck" - That sounds ominous!

Well look, you rejected Turkish Airlines, an excellent carrier with world-class service, because you don't want to transit through Istanbul, and now you are considering a far, far inferior airline. If avoiding Istanbul at all costs is your somewhat irrational goal, you've made your bed.

I'll just note that Air Serbia flies their only A330 on the route and they lease it from Jet Airways (India). If it has mechanical problems you could be lacking a paddle where it's most needed.

Sometimes honest advice is not what someone wants to hear.

"Honest advice" - There is no reason for NewbE to opine with the words: "If avoiding Istanbul at all costs is your somewhat irrational goal. . .. I never said it was "at all costs" and my query is obviously being judged as irrational by the great one.
