Is Bravofly A Scam?

Yes, it is!

One case, two months ago now and still waiting for ANY updates for my actual purchasing. They said they will refund me the money for the accommodation and the extra flight I needed to purchase (due to Bravofly time miscalculation). But I am demanding them to refund me the actual flight which I purchased (which caused the whole mess). Every time when I contacted them they (Martina Venturini) keep saying that the money for the accommodation and extra fight (which I needed to purchase to get me home) is on its way. BUT I am NOT talking about that refund. I want the money back for my actual flight (1000 USD)!!! See Emails below.

K Email:
Can I get any reply?

K Email:
Dear Martina,

Correct me if I am wrong. The (money amount XXX) was a refund for the accommodation (which I couldn't use) and the extra flight (PEK-HKG) which I needed to purchase caused by your company time miscalculation, right?

I am asking about the refund for the actual flight which I purchased from your company (HKG-Honolulu).
You told me on the phone that you cannot refund the flight from HKG-PEK as I attended to that flight. However, your company will refund me the other flights ( PEK-Honolulu, Honolulu-HKG).
When will you refund these flight (app. 1000 USD)? If I was your company I would refund the whole purchasing. At the end of the day I didn't book any flight to Beijing and it was a huge waste of time for me (on that day when I was supposed to fly to Honolulu and all the days after me chasing you guys for replies and updates).
Waiting for your reply.
Best,
K

Dear K,

Thank you for contacting our Claim Department.

Please be informed that the refund of (money amount XXX) was closed on 28/05/2015 at 17:55. You should be able to see the money in your next bank statement.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards,
Martina Venturini

Hi Martina,

has there been any updates for the flight Beijing to Honolulu plus return flight?

Best,
K

Bravoly Email:
Dear K,

Thank you for contacting our Claim Department.

As previously stated, we confirm that the details you provided us with have been correctly saved up in our system and we are now awaiting response from our Refund Department. As we would like to keep you informed along the way, bear in mind that this type of refund process may take up to two weeks.
The bank transfers for the month of April have been closed and this specific bank transfer will unfortunately shift to the month of May; this is the reason the bank transfer might take that long.

However, please be rest assured that as soon as the refund is settled you will receive a confirmation e-mail.

As per your request, our department in charge will contact the airline and ask for a contingent refund for the second leg of the outbound fight from Beijing to Honolulu and the whole inbound flight from Honolulu to Hong Kong. As soon as we receive a response from the airline, you will be contacted again.

We hope this clarifies the matter.

Should you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards,
Martina Venturini

I'm confused. Why do you think you should get a refund for a fight you took? Have you actually received compensation for the portion of your trip that was cancelled due to the error by Bravofly?

Well I have used Bravofly for trip all over the world.... NEVER AGAIN.
I booked a short notice, urgent flight. Bravofly took the money and everything seemed ok. Half hour later Bravofly cancelled the flight without a reason. As this was an urgent booking I frantically tried to contact them by phone. They would not speak to me until I paid a 6.1 Euro charge. I was then informed that in fact there were no seats on the flight, even though they had sold me one. I am still awaiting to have the fare refunded to my account. When I contacted Bravofly about what had happened, I got a blunt and complete refusal to refund the cost of the phone call. Is this what they call customer service?

SO HORRIBLE!!
My outbound flight was cancelled, I received incredible grief about a partial refund. They kept telling me it was my job, not theirs to contact the agency. I had to purchase separate outbound flight as they would not refund my car rental or my inbound flight. Then they would not adjust my car rental time to match the new flight time.

Terrible service carried out with friendly tone....

If you have booked with Bravofly you better hope that you do not need to do any changes on youre flight.
Tried to change a flight and was told by KLM that they have available seats and change is possible to do for small fee through Bravofly.
Bravofly answers that there are no seats left and refers to KLM, on the same time they have available flights on their own web page the actual day.
KLM refers to agent where trip was booked and do not want to have anything to do with the rebooking.
Had to buy a completly new ticket due to their incompetancy/ unwillingness to assist.

And the ones who know that Bravofly is a third agent who has limited resource for after sale and don't bother will not be helped by your post, and those who could be helped will not read it, they will find a way to a forum after they have a problem.

So : useless post.

I don’t agree that this is a useless post. Every time someone tops up the thread with a new complaint or comment, there is a chance that someone new to Fodors will see it and be better informed of the risk they take in booking with Bravofly.

I agree with eliztravels2, the more people who know about this company's shocking customer service, the better.

I had a poor experience with Bravofly. Eventually after much time and grief, I did get a full refund. So, take heart people who currently have complaints, and be persistent.

Go on airtravel forum of Trip Advisor and you'l lfind dozens of threads and thousands on posts. And the count is rising. people don't look before, they only complain after.

Bottomline : always book direct with the airline, don't save a few bucks and realize there is no after sales.
