In need of help for trip from Toulouse (France) to NYC and SFO - Toulouse

Dear experienced travellers,

as the summer vacation time comes closer, my girlfriend and I are planning to visit the United States and therefore are looking for affordable flights.

Our preferred Itinerary would be:
26. or 27. Juli: Toulouse (TLS) to New York (NYC)
17. August: San Francisco (SFO) to Toulouse (TLS)

So far we have checked websites such as momondo, kayak, expedia etc. and the cheapest fare would be around 1.160 Euros per person (requiring 1 stopover and approx. 15 hours each way) and with Air France, serviced by Delta.

I would be incredibly thankful for any suggestion, tipp and such for maybe finding even more affordable flights.
