On the airport website it states that a Lufthansa departure (LH 316) will be at terminal 1, concourse AB. I know where terminal 1 is and where A and B are, but where is AB?
Or, am I interperting this improperly.

I believe it will be either on A or B concourses.

Yep. A or B. You'll know when they give your your boarding pass. Fortunately they are adjacent to each other.

Just as a data point, when I last changed planes at FRA (Lufthansa > Lufthansa) the gate printed on my BP changed three times between when I arrived at the airport and took off. The last gate change was posted (not announced) 20 min. before my departure (non-Schengen European flight) was supposed to happen. I didn't notice it on the reader boards (in the loo, actually) until I got to the non-gate, and literally had to run to a far corner of the terminal to make it. I was not alone in the breathing-heavy crowd. Then to make matters worse it was a bus gate; I believe our plane was parked in France from the time it took to get to the stairs.
