FCO 1 hr 15 mn layover
We have just an hour and 15 min layover at FCO then continue on to Venice. We're flying Alitalia. We arrive FCO at 7:10 am and depart for Venice at 8:25 am. We're stuck with this itinerary so just curious if this seems like enough time, providing all flights are on time. Thanks.

OTOH, if you have checked luggage, it is unlikely to make the connection. After our luggage arrived 3 hours after we did, we were advised (in confidence( by the very nice person in baggage claim that two hours is the absolute minimum to be certain that checked luggage makes the connection. This is a consequence of the fire in the international terminal as well as other issues.

Customs is virtually nonexistent as a time issue. But, you will have to go through immigration/passport control. The lines at non-EU passport can sometimes be long, but if you have your documents put together, including continuing boarding passes and any other documents sorted in each passport, you should get through with plenty of time to make it to your flight.
