Eos, MaxJet or SilverJet Anyone?

I was wondering if anyone has flown one of the new discount business class carriers to London as yet. If so I'd love to know what you though. Thanks!

You can read quite a few comments on this website:

www.airlinequality.com/main/forum.htm

Seats don't go 180 degrees totally flat like in BA's Business Class.

Eos should be flat bed too. They actually call themselves all FC airline, not business.

I flew Silverjet a few weeks ago and can recommend it. Fare was only £799 return which is amazing for business class.

If you're interested there's more about them here:

And there's a video on YouTube about the service:

Best airline I've flown with in ages, been telling everyone about them. The cabin crew were great, really friendly and 'human' - maybe cos they don't have to wear silly outfits! blightyboy and wally, your'e both right re the seats. They go completely flat so you can have a proper sleep but they don't go completely horizintal, you're at a slight angle, not that it makes much difference. Loads of room, first time I've ever been on a plane where the whole flight is business class and everyone gets tons of space to themselves.

Getting into London is covered on the Luton Airport website but it's basically

a) free shuttle bus to train station, train to several places in London
b) various bus services to several places in London

Well I did it. I just booked a round-trip on SilverJet for $899.00, plus tax. The total came to just $1000.00. I booked way in advance for an October flight using a 50% off Freequent Flyer promotion (promotion ends May 25. I can't wait to try this.

Sorry Blightboy but wall34949 is right. SilverJet seats recline flat but at a 170 degree angle not 180 like BA. They are commonly called angle lie-flat seats.

I posted it on the Europe board but it seems to have sunk...

MaxJet is starting service from LAX to STN at the end of August. Initial prices are $699 one way plus tax, double that for round trip (taxes make it around $1500 RT.)

That compares to $1207 for BA Crunch and $2087 for World Traveller Plus (premium Crunch) on the same days.
