Enough time between flights at Heathrow?
We will be flying BA from Phoenix to Milan with a stop at Heathrow which means a change of planes. Is 2 hours enough time to make a connection between fllghts? We would appreciate your response. Thanks.

You have asked an excellent question, a question that many before you have also asked: Will I make my connecting flight? WAG-O-MATIC® can help.

Um. Okay.
If both flights are on British Airways then you'll have ample time. Just follow the "flight connections" signs in Terminal 5 (where you'll both arrive and depart.) You'll go through a document and security check, then will be released into the T5 shopping mall. One escalator ride down and you're in the gate area; use the reader boards to see which gate. You ought to have at least an hour to kill.

If it's all one booking then your luggage will be checked through to Milan and you don't have to pass through immigration or customs. It also means that if you miss your outgoing flight due to problems on the incoming flight you will be put on teh next plane with space

If it isn't one booking then unless you have hand luggage only and hence can avoid immigration / customs you have zero chance of making the connection.

Can I tag on here? I just looked at our itinerary for June 14th. I know everything changes if planes are late but is 2 hrs enough time if there are 2 terminals?
Dallas to Nairobi, changing planes at Heathrow.
Arrive Term 3 at 8:30 AM
Depart Term 5 10:25 AM.
Tickets are BA with the DFW departure operated by AA.

Arrival on AC at 07:30AM in October in terminal 2
Seperate tickets, so Ill have to clear customs and immigration
Connection at 10:30AM in terminal 5 with BA
Gives me three hours to collect bags, clear customs and change terminals.
Im hoping thats enough?

No need for that. Check in online on the day you leave Canada, and print out your boarding pass. Then on arrival in Heathrow, head directly to the connection centre. You'll go through security, you'll be on a bus from T2 to T5, and some long walks might be involved, but you'll have more than enough time.

You can only do what DonTopaz suggests if AC checks your bags through to your final destination. If not, you will have to go through immigration, collect your bags, make your way to terminal 5, drop your bags, go through security etc.
Three hours enough? - if everything's on time, possibly.

Maybe/maybe not. You are sort of stuck though - Unfortunately whether the AC agent tags your bags through or not is up to him/her. Just because you have separate tix doesn't mean they will/won't through check.
If they check your bags through - no problem making that connection (assuming you land on time). BUT if they don't check your bags through I wouldn't bet on it. Deplaning a jumbo, a loooooong walk to immigration, possible queues for immigration, waiting for your bags, Transferring to T-5, security, etc.
And you won't know IF your bag is checked through til you are checking in for your AC flight . .
Why not do carry on only? That solves everything.
