Doha Airport, Qatar - Business Class Lounge Question

Jump to last reply

I will be travelling to Egypt from Australia, with the legs from KL to Cairo on Qatar. My question is regarding the lounges.

I am booked for business class through to Doha, then my itinerary says first class although on the B777 there are only 2 classes so in the "lounges eyes" I might be eligible just for the business class lounge.

So many people have questions on forums on the net that talk about pre-booking the Oryx lounge. Do you only have to pre-book if you are an economy passenger. I figure, like at other airports, I can just front up with my business class boarding pass and be allowed into the lounge.

Another question is, is the Oryx Lounge THE business class lounge? Will folks who travel in economy and pay for it be in the "business class lounge" or is Oryx lounge separate. I ask this not because I am "stuck up!", I am wondering about how busy it will be. Obviously if you can travel economy and pay to use the lounge it will be busier, and thus waiting for showers, etc as opposed to just business class folks using it, and then less numbers.

Thanks for your help. Much appreciated.
