Do I have a big enough connection time in Dulles

I fly from Denver to Dulles on Wednesday (flight UA133) should land at D gates. I then leave on UA3786 from Dulles to RDU only 40 minutes later...is that enough time?

Best course to try to make it from D to A?
Thank you!

Thanks I'm not a moron and I looked at the maps already - doesn't really give an indication of time of travel between gates and terminals - I was looking for actual feedback of those that have made similar connections.

The main trick imo about successfully making connections, is does the first plane land and deboard on time? You can check history for your specific flight to see its record for ontime arrivals.

Brian,

If you've already taken specific steps, the lay them out. It only helps you get the right answer.

Here's a different map with a more helpful view.

interesting question. I have a flight from Atlanta to ORD with a 35 minute connection. Called united as I was about to make it on line reservation and they told me it is legal and that because it is a continuing flight to SFO,, they have to wait for our plane. Hope that is correct!

No, it certainly is not correct.

I think 40 minutes connection time having to go from D to A will be pretty tight. It's certainly possible. Hopefully u r sitting in the front of the inbound flight so u can get off quickly. Also, hopefully u land at a D gate near the people movers (shuttle) so that u can quickly get on one and get to Terminal A. Good luck!

@Rastaguytoday - one of the the purposes of these boards is to solicit and hear peoples actual experiences. Maps and urls r not always helpful.

I was about to accomplish it on band catch and they told me it is acknowledged and that because it is a continuing flight to SFO,, they accept to delay for our plane. Hope that is correct!
