Delta EC on Atlanta - Johannesburg versus coach isle seat

I am flying Atlanta to Johannesburg in a week on a 777 aircraft. I currently have seat 51G with the middle seat open beside me. EC is only available on middle seats & only a few of these left. This will be my longest flight of 15 hrs 50 min - my previous was to Europe or to India via Europe.

I'm trying to determine if it's better to keep my isle seat in coach for the freedom in movement or risk paying for EC in a middle seat considering I could be swished between two unknown passengers in EC on row 34 or 41. I have been told the middle seat of the 3 seats in the middle is much better than the middle seat of either side since it would offer more options for isle access with two.

Thoughts?
