I will be arriving from Toronto to Atlanta on Friday and then have a 3 hour layover before flying to Bentonville. Both legs with Delta.

I've tried looking at the airport map to see what SkyClub lounge to use but can't quite understand it all.

I believe I arrive at an International gate and then depart for Bentonville in the south terminal - no idea what gates though.

Its been a long time since I used Atlanta and yes I know the airport is big.

Anyone with any insight for me?

PS - so far impressed with the Delta website. Very easy upgrade options and I love that you can pay a single entry to Skyclub before committing to a years fee - like that they offer the year in monthly installments too.

Is Delta comfort worth the $29 upgrade fee? I thought it sounded like a good deal.

Flights from Canada to the U.S. clear U.S. immigration and customs before you board your flight in Toronto. You'll arrive in Atlanta as if you were on any domestic flight.

First, ignore "south terminal," which applies only to people starting their travel at Atlanta.

You will arrive at one of the 6 concourses: T, A, B, C, D, or E. Gate assignments change often so you will probably not know where you will be until you land. You should check the screens as soon as you get off the plane to see which gate your next flight departs from.

Go to the appropriate concourse simply by following the signs. There is a train (runs every two minutes or so) which connects all the concourses. Or you can walk if it's only one or two concourses away from where you arrive.

Once at that concourse, ask someone or look at the map to find the Sky Club. There is at least one Sky Club on each concourse.

FWIW, there is a general pecking order to the clubs. The general consensus would say that the F SkyClub is best, followed by E, T, and the center A club. The B SkyClubs are generally considered the worst. With 3 hours, it might be worth heading to one of the "better" clubs for a fair bit.

If you arrive hungry, note that One Flew South is easily among the best airport restaurants in the country.

Forget which is best. Just go to the one closest to your departing gate. It can take 15 minutes from one DL gate to another at ATL.

Rkkwan beat me to it. If you're unfamiliar with ATL, get near the departing gate first. Also, I think 15 minutes is kind. Could be more like 25-30 if your walk is, say, E37 to T1 and the joint is in the middle of a wave and super crowded.

30 minutes is way too long. The maximum walking distance is less than a mile. Barring the train breaking down, it shouldn't be more than 15 minutes, 20 tops.

To each their own on where to position yourself, but I wouldn't relish spending two hours in the B club. If it were a short layover, sure, but 3 hours is enough time to stretch the legs.

Mechanical on Delta out of YYZ. Rebooked on the 3PM. Long day!

Only Admirals Club lounge at Term 3 YYZ so have purchased it and enjoying a glass of wine at least! And I can use my day pass in Atlanta too...hopefully the AC lounge is easy access to me there...
