I know this question was asked a while back, but I'm asking it now incase there has been more experience. 3 years ago my wife had difficulty taking her electric curling iron in her carry-on bag on a Mexican Airways flight. Has anyone else had this difficulty with other airlines? We are taking BA to Zurich from OHare at the end of the month, and my wife does not want to lose her curling iron. I can see no reason why an electric curling iron would present an inflight threat. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this? Thanks in advance.
Gerhardt.

The only curling irons not allowed in your luggage are the Butane types. There is no problem with electric curling irons.
