Continental Pres Club Passes on eBay

Are the "Guest Passes" you can find on eBay readily accepted by the airport lounges? Are they exactly the same as what you buy for $45 from Continental..?

(exluding possibility of scam/fraud by a dishonest merchant, of course)

Most of them are from Chase. They are single entry to one-club and for one person only. So, that's different from the $45 daypass which is good for multiple PC on the same day.

And don't get the ones WITHOUT expiration dates. I believe they're phased out those and you will be denied entry with a pass WITHOUT an expiration date.

uh-oh. I bid on one of the 'no expiration' ones, b/c of course, that sounds better! Haven't won it yet, though.

I don't have a Chase card, so would buying one of the Chase passes be any problem to use? The ones on eBay for sale are good until 9/30/08 and our return trip would be 9/29/08. (4 hours at EWR). (I'm not sayin' I'll find where you live if there is a problem, just 'typically speaking', are they real passes...)

Also, if I buy a fresh pass directly from Presidents Club for $45, is that one pass=one person? Or we could both enter on one pass?

Thanks for your advice..

I believe that passes are for one person only - sorry.

No problem using the Chase one without a card.

The $45 one, like Seamus says, is also for just one person. No guest. But if you're passing through multiple PC on the same day, you can visit more than one.

And the $45 can be applied towards a full membership.

For more than one person, a great alternative is to get the 60-day membership from Northwest Worldclub. It's a full membership that can be used in NW, CO and DL's clubs, including brining guest. I think current rate is $85.

Here's the thread on Flyertalk about those passes with no expiration date:

Do NOT bid on those.

Thank you for the link - I surfed a bit on that forum last night but didn't find anything definitive about the passes.

Well, I bought 2 passes on eBay for the CO Pres Club (Chase)... $31 + $2.50s/h for the both of them. Hope they work!
