Connection time in Chicago for an international flight
I am flying from BOS to Vietnam on one United ticket in Feb. . I have to change planes in Chicago for my international flight..
I just want to make sure that I do not have to go through any additional screening in Chicago before I board my international flight. I have one hour and forty minutes connection time.. Does this seem like enough time?

Where does your flight from Chicago go to? Tokyo maybe? Make sure you know what flight to board.
Assuming it's a United flight somewhere like Tokyo, there is no additional screening for outbound international flights. You just walk from your BOS-Chicago plane to the departure gate and board when called.
1hr 40min is plenty of time. If it's actively snowing then all bets are off - no guarantee your 1st flight will be on time if the weather is bad.

The flight is Chicago to Hong Kong. (Then HK to SGN.) Would you know how long it would take to walk/run from the furthest gates in the United terminal. I'd like to know in case the flight is late getting in how much time I would need to get from one gate to the other to make the flight.

Here's a map of the United terminal in Chicago.

The flight from Boston will come into the B or C concourse. The flight to HKG usually leaves from one of the gates in the middle of the C concourse (C16, 18, or around there). There's an underground walkway with moving sidewalks connecting the two concourses (entrance to the walkway in the middle, near B8). I'm a fast walker, but I can get from any gate in B to any gate in C in 10 minutes or less.
