connecting flight at frankfurt

Jump to last reply

please someone give me more information,

My parents are flying from Amritsar India (ATQ) via Qatar airline to Frankfurt to Toronto Canada with Air Canada. (AMRITSAR INDIA>>>>>DOHA QATAR>>>>FRANKFURT >>>TORONTO) my parents speak no English so im trying to find out as much as I can and sort of explain them before hand what they will run in to.
my research it seems like they both use same terminal 1B. what does departs and arrivals are at different levels?
would they need to go through security?
how big the terminal 1B is? if someone know possible gate numbers
or just simply the flight switch procedure between these two airlines.

Thank you in advance.
