Does anyone know what Germanwings' policy is on checking a booster seat? Is it free? Count as luggage? Requires an extra fee? Haven't had any luck finding info on this so far.

I only found a hint on booster seats for children under 2 years of age. Those can be used on board of the plane when they carry the seal "for use in aircraft".
To be on the safe side, I'd suggest you contect the airline directly: kontakt@germanwings.com
Thanks. I found the same info on the under 2 age. Germanwings hasn't replied to an e-mail and the phone number in the UK isn't in service. My sister in law is going to contact them from the UK to see if she has any luck. They're a very difficult airline to contact!
