Changing terminals at Newark with only hour layover?
I'm flying on United into Terminal A at Newark and now only have an hour's layover and need to get to Terminal C for an international flight to Scotland. Am I in trouble?
I can tell there is transportation between terminals but not sure about which I would have to go through security again, etc.
Help! Any advice welcome.
Thanks!

There's a SkyTram that links the terminals - it runs every 3 or 4 minutes and takes about the same amount of time to get between Terminal A and C. Unfortunately it is outside the secure area so you'll have to clear TSA to get into Terminal C.
One hour is cutting it close but doable if your inbound flight arrives on or very near schedule.
Best advice - see if you can get an earlier inbound flight. If not, try to get a seat toward the front of the plane and once you deplane don't dilly dally on you way to Terminal C. Have a back-up plan / learn what your options are if you miss your flight to Scotland.

As Seamus says the shuttle bus is better if you are short on time. If I remember it was at gete 81 where we last got it...but do not count on that as correct. Ask one of the flight attendants or go right to any gate that has a United person and ask them where to catch it....and run!

Thank you so much; this is really helpful.
It would be $300 to change the first leg, and I'd have a five hour layover. Just can't decide what to do. There are no other flights to Edinburgh later that day.
What would YOU do? Risk it with an hour's layover or spend the money and five extra hours in an airport?

An hour is actually a reasonable connection time at EWR. I have been flying into/out of/through EWR for years both domestically and internationally and would not worry. The place is actually set up quite well for making connections. In fact, the flight to EDI usually departs from quite near where the shuttle drops you at terminal C.
