Champion Air
Has anyone had experiences w/Champion? We're flying Champion in August to Puerto Vallarta...I can't find anything on them (opinions from anyone), and I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't be wishing we flew someone else instead!!

Thanks!!

I did a search on Google. It seems that Champion Air is a charter with 12 (ONLY!)727 planes. From their website it seems they are based on MN and do sports charters, etc. Check it out - sorry - I didn't record the website, but I found it easily using Google.

We used them to go from San Antonio to Las Vegas. Nothing to write home about. Planes were full, service was bland but efficient, they left on time, arrived on time...

The only weird thing was seeing a cockpit with a captain, a copilot and a navigator! I used to think that most of the newer (i.e. less than 20 years old) planes only used two people. So the planes they use are probably older than that...

Flew with them last week from Denver to Cancun (roundtrip). I agree with the above post - marginal service - our plane was late leaving Cancun. If you are tall ask for an exit isle - it was my husbands saving grace. No meals on our flight, only pretzels and drinks, so you may want to go prepared.

We fly charters a lot because the price is best. I simply accept the fact that the planes will most likely be crowded and often late! I would fly a regular airline but they are usually so much more expensive! It usually seems to be my only choice; not great but the price is right!
