Carrying a guitar on a plane

Jump to last reply

Cheryl wants to bring her guitar on our upcoming trip to Kauai. We are fllying nonstop on Alaska AIr in first class. While I have often seen people carry musical instruments on a plane and put them in the overhead bin, I can't find anything specific about musical instruments on the Alaska website. This is a Taylor travel guitar, approx 3/4 size.

Our plan was for her to carry on her guitar and her purse and I'd carry a small carry-on and my purse.

She will be calling Alaska today, but does anyone have any experience with this?
