Best Flight Route from US to Nanjing, China?

Does anyone have experience flying from the US into Nanjing?

We need one RT ticket, Boston to Nanjing. Looking at itasoftware, I see different routes on, for example, Air China (BOS-LAX-PEK-NKG), Cathay Pacific (BOS-LAX-HKG-NKG), United (BOS-IAD-PEK-NKG), Continental (BOS-EWR-PEK-NKG, etc.

We have always flown into Beijing or Hong Kong and don't know the Nanjing airport or what route best serves this city. If anyone has a recommendation based on actual experience, that would be very helpful.

I'm posting the same message on the Asia board.

Thanks.

Beijing connection would be the shorter route.

As to which airline you should use? if you are sitting in economy, then pick the least expensive one. There is not much difference between the 4 airlines listed.

Thanks for the reply.

How about business class -- what is your carrier preference?

Cathay Pacific
Continental
United
Air China(have not flown with them, so that's the reason why they are last on my list)

I don't know if this helps but a good friend of mine (and her family) flew this route last month (though from IAH through LAX etc not BOS). In economy, they thought Air China (going out) was superior to Cathay Pacific (coming back) - noticeable difference in room etc.
