Trip Report Asiana Business class SEA-ICN; Thai Air business class ICN-BKK

We flew from Seattle to Seoul on Asiana. Boarding was chaotic - there were about 30 wheelchair passengers and it took over half an hour to get them boarded. The plane was an Airbus A330 - not a comfortable plane for such a long flight. The seats were not lay-flat, but those that move within a hard shell and they barely reclined. While the service was good, it was not a comfortable 12 hour flight.

From Seoul to Bangkok, we flew on Thai in a Boeing 777. The cabin was spacious, and while the seats were not lay-flat, but Thai's hard-shell seats are pretty comfortable. As usual, the service was vey good.

I understand (from another passenger) that Asiana changed the plane just days before the flight. I don't remember what type of plane was scheduled for that flight, but I expect it had to be better than the A330.
