Another CDG Lounge Question - Gold/Guests - But Tricky Need HELP!
We are six travelers
1 on Traveling on Biz Class Ticket - Elite status Delta (Diamond I think)
1 on Coach ticket - Status Platinum Delta
1 on Coach ticket - only Silver status Delta
3 - Kids on Coach tickets (Ages 13, 10, and 6) - No Status
We are flying ATL - CDG then CDG to BLR. Leaving on 12/27/
So SIX total and by my reading of rules we have 2 who can for sure go in and if I am getting in correctly each bring a guest.
We are traveling through Paris with five hour layover and want to go to the lounge
I had originally thought I would buy a 90 day Sky Club membership so I would also have access. But they discontinued that membership. They did that on 12/12/13 UGH!!!
1 day passes not clear if they work for Air France
Also seems if I am reading rules on Air France page correctly we have 2 with access, and each can bring one guest and if necessary purchase additional guest for 35 Euro. That seems reasonable. How much does this ring true for others. Can I count on that?
I could also buy (for $495) miles to get me to Gold before departure. That sort of sucks because I'm going to get gold with this trip. $500 to get lounge access for one trip sort of ridiculous. (It would be two times because we'll be returning)
I am told by Delta folks that purchasing full Sky Club membership won't leave me enough time for valid paperwork to gain access (it says this specifically on website that for partner lounges need official paperwork and it needs 4-6 weeks. I would have gone ahead and done this but I thought I was going to do the ninety day for $100 and so was waiting until closer to departure).
We were all so excited that this year we'd be able to get into the lounge!
On way home we are on A class Air France Tickets -if that matters,
So so so grateful for any thoughts or ideas.

Just thought about one reason to go ahead and bump myself to gold would mean that my trip from ATL to BLR would be then a 100% miles bonus for Gold vs. an only 25% miles bonus for Silver. That is reaching. And I guess only worth about $90
Assuming a 9000 mile trip. with a 9000 mile bonus. I guess to get the real calculation I'd also have to subtract the 25% bonus I'd get anyway.
I'll be gold coming home so no improvement there.

I have two layovers each 5.5 hours.
Last time I landed in Paris at 6:30am nothing was open even for coffee. So that is exciting on its own. Food, more comfortable chairs, take a shower if you want.
I'm tickled just for the chance to have those as options. Small joys necessary when 20 hours of flying time involved....

FYI we got into the lounge in 2E/M gates both directions. On the way there due to ages of kids, and guesting capability of 2 adults (one platinum, one high statuswith biz class ticket) we all got into lounge.
On way back I had gold status - was allowed one guest and one child and paid entry for my remaining child (I think it was 10 euros).
The lounge was FANTASTIC. Great food. Free Clarins 20 min facials, with products (it was great! - closed Wednesday so only enjoyed on the way to India). Wonderful showers. The hot showers were particularly appreciated after the 11 hour flight BLR-CDG. The flight starts at BLR at 2:20 in the am. My DD had a stomach incident on way to airport, which we were able to clean up but not fully, so for 11 hours on that flight we were dreaming of those hot showers, towels, shampoo..... Also enjoyed huge selection of Europoean Magazines and newspapers, comfortable chairs, nice fast free wifi, easy charging of devices.
Appreciated the smaller scale as I was traveling alone with my 3 kids 13,10,7 and it was easier to let them walk to get food, go to bathroom, sleep in corner...than it would have been alone in main airport.
