AMEX Membership Rewards transfer deadline June 30

Received e-mail today that all AMEX Membership Rewards points must be transferred before June 30. I recently joined Continental OnePass program. Since they are part of the OneStar(sp?) network, is that a wise choice given their choices of about 20 different airline partners?

Are you referring to your specific account? I didn't receive any email.

Did you find award availability for your trip yet? Transfers to Onepass are instant and keeping your points in Membership Rewards until you need to use them allows more flexibility but I don't know what the June 30 deadline is.

BTW it's Star Alliance.

I haven't seen anything about it either, but there is a Delta bonus of 25% if you transfer Amex until the end of June.

Delta is in Skyteam and there are no first class transatlantic redemption options via Delta Skymiles, only business class.

Update -- I checked w/ AMEX and I was wrong. Southwest is dropping from AMEX Membership Rewards program. Thanks for the feedback.

No problem Skip, I also received an email but it was about transferring to/from MarriottRewards. They are leaving as well. It is nice to have notice.

Didn't Membership Rewards transfers to Marriott Rewards end in 2004? Only certs are available now and I'm not aware of that ending.
