American reconfiguring all their 777s?

I have heard that American is reconfiguring all of their 777s. Has anyone else heard about this? What does it mean? When is it supposed to happen?

New business class seats and all 777s will have suites in first class cabin.

I believe that the F suites conversion is almost done and the business class seats conversion will be done by this summer.

Thanks for the info.

Do you know if this means less legroom in coach?

Less room in economy happened about 2-3 years ago. This new F and J cabin conversions won't have any effect on the Y cabin. The Y seat pitch will remain the same as it has been since the last change.

Interesting...this past February I had a return trip on AA between JFK-LHR-JFK using 777 sitting in the same seat (23H)...

On the flight over, I could not bring the tray table down and extend the second part...now I do have a bit of a tummy (so I thought to myself boy have I really gained weight (not good of course) since the last time (August) I had flown the route, but then I looked around and everybody was having the same problem but not quite to the same degree...I barely was able to fit the dinner tray on the 1/2 part and had no extra room for the can of soda.

The return flight, remember same seat, same aircraft type (777) lo and behold the tray table came down easily with plenty of room to extend the second part and actually fit the lunch tray as well as the can of soda...of course I wrote to customer service and their answer was they have no clue...obviously the two planes are configured somewhat differently in terms of coach at least or maybe on the return I got one of the pre reconfiguration 777's....
