American. They have been doing a lot of things right AND are more likely to be in buisness offering the service you are purchasing.

Keith

I fly both right now but prefer American for longer flights because they have more room between rows. United has a bunch of rows up front behind first class that is reserved for us frequent fliers that have extended leg room but it's hit or miss depending upon how crowded the plane is. Although United is in a deep financial crisis American is not far behind. AA just happened to have more current cash, but that's running down real quickly also. If you have a long layover somewhere maybe chose the better city or terminal that the airline lands in.

There have been recent news stories that it is generally thaoought American may well have to declare bankruptcy as early as late May. Do a google for each airline and you can see recent news.

Everything I've heard indicates that AA is coming to terms with a new union contract (cut in pay) and will be fine. Unfortunately, UA doesn't look so good. I would opt for American if I were you.

United. United. United. Better service. Better frequent flyer program. More flights to/from home.
