Air Canada vs. Luthansa

Jump to last reply

This may sound silly but i've never actually heard of or flown on Luthansa before so was wondering if anyone who has been on both Luthansa and Air Canada can give me some advice.

The trip is in January 2013 from Edmonton to Paris. Economy class. I've narrowed it down to two options: Air Canada (entire way) and Luthansa (entire way). Both have one stop over in Ontario because there's no direct flight from Edmonton to Paris. Luthansa is about $75 cheaper. I get the same amount of points for both of them.

Is one better/safer than the other? Comfort and food wise although food is less important to me. I know Air Canada allows advance seat choosing but does Luthansa because I do not wan to be assigned a middle seat near the back. I also read somewhere on the internet that Luthansa planes are older and don't have individual TV's but maybe that was an old review.

Thank you in advance!
