Air Berlin is a good reliable airline. Modern planes, professional staff. First comfort class is exceptional. Economy is standard (like any other airlines which flies transatlantic).
Air Berlin is increasingly popular with business travellers since they are reliable and have reasonable rates.

Catering service on short-haul and medium-haul flights
We serve free snacks on all routes with a flight time of up to four hours. On routes with a flight time of more than four hours, as well as on flights to and from Agadir and Funchal, you have a choice of two complimentary menus. On routes with a flight time of more than four hours you also have the option of pre-ordering free special menus »
Sansibar gourmet menus
On all airberlin routes with a flight time of 90 minutes or longer we can also offer freshly prepared gourmet meals designed by Sansibar. Depending on the time of day or season of the year, you can enjoy a range of specialities created by Herbert Seckler, who runs the famous Sansibar restaurant on the German island of Sylt. Please note: We will need to receive your order no more than 30 days and at least 48 hrs. before the flight. During this period you can also pre-order your gourmet meal immediately after you have booked your flight online.

On routes with a flight time of more than four hours we are happy to serve the following special menus on request and free of charge:

Gluten-free meals
Lactose-free meals
Vegan meals
Meals for diabetics
Kosher meals (on long-haul flights only)
We can provide special children’s menus for our younger passengers (2 years and older) on our long-haul routes if they are pre-ordered.
If you would like to take up our services with regard to special menus or children's menus, just let our Service Centre » know what you require up to 48 hours before departure of the flight. We regret that for organisational reasons we are unable to take such special food orders at the airport.

Our Business Class passengers are served a multi-course menu in elegant surroundings. There is a choice of several main courses. If you are a little peckish, we will serve you snacks, fruit and sandwiches. You will be welcomed on board with a drink and our wide selection of beverages, including select red and white wines, will be available to you during the flight.
