AA's Double Elite Qualifying Miles Promo

Jump to last reply

Hi, wondering when they will post the bonuses.

The party line seems to be 6-8 weeks.

However, I have the weird situation that they seem to have posted a bonus for one leg of my round trip quite a while ago. Since the two flights are within 3 days of each other, that seems strange to get a bonus for one leg only.

Basically the two flights (a round-trip) accrue 50% points.

So, if each leg is y miles, I've gotten 50% x 2y points = y points.

But the qualifying miles is 3y, which means that they have doubled one leg (i.e. 2y + y = 3y).

Did I miss something? What should I expect? Thanks!
