AA Aadvantage Website is Making Me CRAZY!!!

I'd been checking for weeks hoping a flight from Nashville to Lihue (Kauai) would open up for either 17,500 (coach) or 37,500 miles (business class). A few days ago, I checked -- and there it was--for 37,500 miles. Woo-Hoo!!! But when I tried to book it, I received a message that the flight is no longer available.

I called, hoping it was a glitch with the website. Nope. "Sorry, it's no longer available."

But it stayed on the website -- taunting me -- for two solid days. I tried repeatedly to book it--but always got the same message, that the flight was no longer available. So ... why did it stay up on the website??? And FYI, there was another flight between those same cities for that same day showing as available. I couldn't book that one either. I emailed AA and received a form letter response that was useless.

Now ... here it is on the website again; the same flight I'm trying to book--but once again, when I try to book it I get the message that the flight is no longer available. AGGHHH! I'm wondering if it's actually becoming available, but being snatched up instantly. But if that were the case, once it's booked, shouldn't it no longer be showing as "available" on the website???

Any insights? If, not ... thanks for letting me vent!!!
