1 hr. layover in Paris - enough time to connect for Athens flight?

I am planning to book a flight to Athens from Atlanta with a one hour layover in Paris. Is that enough time to make the flight or should I book one with more layover time? I will be arriving on Delta. Thanks for any help.

Why don't you just take the nonstop to Athens from Atlanta?

Delta is having a sale and the price to Athens has dropped dramatically! Today I bought tickets from Little Rock, AR to Atlanta & non-stop to Athens for $744!

I would book with more layover time, but the airport folks swear that 1 hour is enough. Just too stressful, though, for my tastes.

Marsh, you are lucky. Unfortunately, there are no nonstop flights offered with the sale price ($650)from ATL to ATH. I will double check again to be sure. I am going to book a flight with a longer layover and hope for the best. Thanks everyone for your help.

No - cdg has one of the worst baggage handling records around (only a bit better than LHR). If you are carrying your bags, it would be marginal, if you are checking, I would allow at least 2 hours.

I wouldn't read too much into CDG having bad baggage handling. ALL of the European airlines have dramatically worse luggage handling than the US carriers. Not sure whether it is indifference, under-staffing, or what, but you take a chance with your luggage at any European airport. That being said, 1 hours is tight for luggage transfer at an airport the size of CDG.

If you're departure from ATL is delayed, you're toast in Paris.
