1 hour layover In AMS enough time?

On Monday I am flying to Munich from Seattle on KLM (operated by Delta) with a 1 hour layover in Amsterdam.

I am getting so much conflicting information when I search about other people's travels, so I want to set the record straight for mine. Is 1 hour enough? Will I have to pick up my bags in Amsterdam? I bought the tickets through Kayak.com and it's KLM on both legs -- I've heard if my incoming flight is at all late, I will most likely miss my flight to Munich. But since both flights are with KLM, if I did miss it, would they assist me on getting a flight to Munich?

Also another curiosity ...

If it's KLM Operated by Delta, do I get Delta service or KLM service? Food? Free booze?

Kayak doesn't sell tickets - you'll have booked through KLM so if they allowed you to book the tickets then it's a legal connection which means it's their problem if you miss the onward flight. Do remember you'll pass through immigration at Amsterdam as well as a security check so don't go admiring the shopping.

As for service - it's a Delta aircraft so Delta service

After I posted I realized it was Orbitz, not Kayak... I don't know if it's the same thing or if it matters at all. And yeah I didn't plan on making any stops, just getting off the plane and through asap.

Definitely won't have time to do shopping. Immigration line should be short, but the overall walk from the non-Schengen gates (US arrival) to Schengen (departure to MUC) can be fairly long. Good news is that DL seem to be arriving in Concourse E (at least for yesterday), which is a lot closer to immigration than F or G (and H & M) that many other airlines use.

Yous should have no problem, but your bags might. We had a similar short layover a while back and made our connecting flight on a different airline to Prague easily, but one piece of our luggage did not. It arrived later that night, but be aware that Schiphol is very large, and luggage handling can be delayed.

You should be able to make it. If things look crowded at passport control, look to your left for the short connection line. You have security right after passport control, so be ready with liquids and the like. Shoes can usually stay on, but belts need to come off. As rkkwan noted, the walks can be long, depending upon the gates used.

Regarding service, beer and wine are free, hard alcohol costs extra. If you pony up the cash for economy comfort (extra legroom and recline), then hard alcohol is free.
