My husband and I are wrapping up our time in Tanzania with a trip to the beach. We have 5 nights in Zanzibar or Pemba and are trying to decide between Matemwe Lodge and Fundu Lagoon. We're looking to just relax at the beach/pool, maybe a day sail and snorkelling, but we're not divers. We like soft, white sand and smaller boutique type hotels. I would love any advice on which one people recommend.
Prior to Zanzibar, we're staying at Kia, Rhotia and Sayari during our safari.
Thanks for any advice and input.

Fundu Lagoon on Pemba, at least has air conditioning. Matemwe Lodge (Main) does not.
If going to Pemba besides the extra flight costs and odd schedules, and for what you pay maybe add this to rooming costs on the Zanzibar Island.
The coast is tropical - hot/humid, and as November arrives so too do the temps start to rise - and while all properties have ceiling fans, some visitors prefer to have the a/c if only for sleeping at night rather than wake in a puddle next morning.
Don't get me wrong Matemwe is lovely on a great beach, but... only you can decide whether a/c is a must of not.
Thank you. I keep having to remind myself that I'll be south of the equator so things will be getting hotter, not cooler in November.
