Zanzibar Honeymoon Accommodations in early June
My fiancee and I will be in Zanzibar in early June for 4 nights for our honeymoon and are looking for accommodation recommendations. So far we're considering Breezes, Pongwe, and Matemwe. Any suggestions for these or others for early June?

Pongwe would be nice for a honeymoon, although there is no air conditioning, just ceiling fans and the ocean breezes. Ask for the bungalow at the end of the property. It's more private, with no foot traffic past it.

Hi Smunky
mind you
beginning of June may still be within the Rainy Season (esp. these days when seasons must be taken with a bit of seasoning)
AC (if needed) - e.g. Blue Bay Hotel has got it
Breezes is nice
Good Luck

The coast is hot and humid. Most all properties have ceiling fans, Breezes has a/c, which I always prefer, if only for sleeping. And though Pongwe is on one of the nicest beaches with no one around for miles... they turn off their generator at night, so not even the fan.

We (not honeymooners) thought Matemwe Bungalows was very nice, and not too hot (in March). The new Matemwe Retreat villas would be even better (although of course more expensive), especially for honeymooners. Each of the three units is located high above the beach to catch the breeze and has its own plunge pool.

Hi, Happy New Year! if you still need advice regarding Zanzibar, try to push the trip out to 2nd week June. Also, I strongly recommend fully inclusive properties, much better value for money and much safer health wise! Definitely do not recommend any property without air-conditioning, that's torture! Mapenzi Beach Club would be great for you, fantastic value for money and property lovely for honeymooners. Give us a shout for truly great deals there! Good luck!
