I would echo Maggie's comments about RPS Safaris. Robin Pope's camps are the most professional I have ever witnessed. They knock strips off every other lodge/camp/hotel I have ever stayed at. Nsefu is one of the most truly romantic places I have ever stayed, Tena Tena is also breathtakingly fantastic. The hospitality is superb and the guiding is unbeatable.

Dear Maggie,

I read your message with interest. I am interested in going to some safari lodges in Zambia and Botswana in December 2002. Did you see a lot of game? Was the weather oppressive (hot), and did it rain a lot? Any other info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Gus.

This screams of advertising by the back door. Why has maggie copied an old post she made in 2001 (as well as a particularly favourable response) into a new post? Why not just post her own message again, or top the original thread? Why repost Mike's response?
RPS may be a great outfitter, but I suspect maggie's post is just sneaky advertising.

Hi Gus,
I trust that you will ignore "the rat" as his comments are totally unjustified.
I will email you my trip report.
The game viewing was superb, the camps exceptionally well organised and yes - it was hot in October but not oppresively so.
December will bring you into the rainy season when it is still hot, but the game viewing just as prolific.
I do hope that you enjoy your trip.
Regards
Maggie.

Maggie
Wonder if you could tell us about how Zambia compares with any other countries in Southern Africa? If you haven't visited any others, I'd be interested to hear your thought processes regarding how you narrowed down where to go?
Would like to hear about camps, what they were like, what staff were like, what you saw, which you liked best.
Etc.
Kavey
