Which ferry to take to Petra

Is there a significant difference between the ferrys that go to Aquaba? I see there is one out of Taba and 1 out of Nuweiba. I am planning on staying in Dahab which is closer to Nuweiba but I have read the ferry has long delays most times. Does the one out of Taba also have long delays? Is Taba too far to go to catch the ferry from Dahab-I think its something like 50 miles...in the states thats not much but I'm not sure about Egypt. Of course, if it takes an hour to ger to Taba it might negate the delay in Nuweiba anyway...any comments anyone?
