Where to stayover on drive from JNB to Kruger?
We are planning to break up our drive from JNB to Kruger and would like to hear of any recommended places to stay along the way-- somewhere in the middle. Any suggestions on nicer guesthouses with attractive surroundings for around US$100/night? Thanks.

Jane<BR><BR>I do not know about any guesthouses in the middle but we have stayed at the Royal Hotel in Pilgrims Rest in the past - close to the Kruger Park - and I would recommend it any day. The whole village of Pilgrims Rest has been declared an historical monument.<BR><BR>Check out the hotel's website at http://www.saftour.co.za/index.html?...html~mainFrame to get an idea of the area.

I appreciate you've already probably thought about this, but you can easily do the drive in a one-er.... we set off from JNB about 9am, and were at the Kruger for lunch ..... just a thought....<BR><BR>Otherwise, there's a gorgeous place not far from Pilgrim's Rest (which is itself really nice - seconded!), with a private lake, etc. I'll dig out the name from home for you, if you like. Put it this way, it was so lovely, my mother immediately said she's love foe mw to get married there! (and we're from Scotland.... hmmm...!)<BR><BR>Jenny
