Where to Stay in Tel Aviv - CHEAP

Im staying in Tel Aviv this summer and I need somewhere CHEAP but clean and decent as well. Hostels are ok as long as they are truly safe. Also, having a kosher breakfast would be a plus! Also from the Cinema Hotel, the Center Hotel and the Ami Hotel, which would you pick?

Have only stayed at the Cinema Hotel from the list - reasonably enjoyable, good breakfast. I think most hotel breakfasts in Tel Aviv are Kosher.

What do you consider as "cheap"?
And yes, all hotel breakfasts are Kosher.

Agree with Eri. What do you consider "cheap?" Just came back from Israel 2 weeks ago, spent one night in the Hotel De La Mer, located one street away from the Tiyellet, the promenade along the beach in Tel Aviv. The room cost us $89. We switched to the Metropolitan Hotel on the next block even though it was slighly more expensive because the room was bigger, the dining room was more pleasant and the 10th floor view of the sea was spectacular.

Other hotels you might consider, all in the same area: the Adiv, the Astor. By the way, if you're staying for an entire summer, be bold and brave and negotiate for a better rate because of the number of nights you'll be occupying the room. Although tourism has increased thankfully, it's still down from pre-intifada levels and owners/managers of smaller hotels may be much more willing to lower their rates.

ALL Israeli breakfasts are kosher.

Have you seen the Beit Immanuel Guest House/Hostel at http://www.inisrael.com/beitimmanuel/ ? It's in Jaffa. We're staying there in early July for $62 per night, breakfast included, for a double room. Hostel is probably cheaper. We prefer the location to the Tel Aviv beach environment.
