My boyfriend and I are leaving for Tanzania in November. We will be visiting both Selous (Jimbiza Lodge, 4 kilometers from Mtemere gate) and Ruaha (Ruaha River Lodge). For both places we have several full day gamedrives. My question is: do you have any suggestions on areas to visit during the full day gamedrives? Are there places in the park and reserve that are special and worth driving for?

Unless you have hired a private vehicle or are arriving in your own vehicle, you won't really have many options where you will drive. You will go where the guide thinks is best.

Jczinn: we have been told that we will have a vehicle just for us. You are probably right that the guide will decide though. I trust they will know the good places, but I always prepare and like to have some ideas I can discuss with the guides
