Vic Falls Itinerary - HELP!

Hi,

My hubby and I (28 and 29) will be in the Vic Falls area (Zimbabwe side) from May 22 (1 pm) to May 25 (noon).

Can anyone please recommend things to do?

Is it worth it to take a day trip to Chobe? We will be spending 3 days in Kruger right before getting to Vic Falls. If so, are there any tours you recommend?

Should we see the falls from both the Zimbabwe and the Zambia sides?

Any other things to do in the area?

Thank you!

My recommendations do not come from personal experience, as I will be there for the first time in the beginning of June. But I wanted to do a canoe trip on the Zambezi, here is the site I got the information from. ( i am doing a half day trip as I will only be there for 2 nights)

If it were me, I would take at least two of those nights and go and stay in Chobe National Park - the problem with day trips into the park is that you are wasting much time traveling back and forth from Vic Falls, even though it isn't far. You really don't need that long for Vic Falls. Another alternative (to spending a couple of nights in Chobe) would be to do a houseboat cruise (overnight) on the Chobe River. We were in Vic Falls and Chobe National Park this past August - here is the link to photos and trip report (see starting page 36) - it describes our visit to both Vic Falls and Chobe with lots of accompanying pictures.

Sorry - Chobe NP comes before Vic Falls in the report - for Chobe NP see starting middle of page 23. Robin

Are you into bungee jumping and Level 5 whitewater rafting? This is one of the best places in the world to combine both. I never did and never would.

I like the idea of more time in Chobe too.
