Urgent advice needed - Cardboardbox want to change our accommodation in Sossusvlei.

Jump to last reply

After doing loads of research on this site before Christmas last year, we booked accommodation for a self drive tour of Namibia through Cardboard box. We've received an email from them today saying that Wilderness Safaris wish to 'upgrade' us from the booked accommodation at Kulala Desert Lodge to Sossusvlei Wilderness camp. The amount of the upgrade is not particularly significant in the scheme of things - we booked the Kulala Desert Lodge because of the private entrance it has to the park and because we quite liked the idea of the roof top private star gazing platform (though we do realise that sleeping up there in August was not an option because of the night time temperature). What are the advantages/disadvantages of accepting/declining the offer ? Has anyone got experience of both so as to give a direct comparison. It is disappointing to have our plans changed, especially as we booked this back in November 2006. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.
