Trip to Merzouga

Jump to last reply

My boyfriend and I are visiting Marrakech at the end of the month for a wedding. We've given ourselves about a week before the wedding to travel around Morocco. We have pretty solid plans for most of the trip but I am struggling with trying to fit in a desert/Merzouga trip as we would only have two days to do so -- one day to get there from Fez, stay the night, then the next day to get to Marrakech. I know that most people cut those trips in half, so I'm wondering if trying to do it in such a short amount of time will make it less enjoyable. I'm not really looking forward to spending two days back to back in a car but I've heard staying the night in the desert is an opportunity that should not be passed up... Help!
