Travelling to Egypt July 14-July31, help

Jump to last reply

Hi everyone :) I'm an 18 year old female travelling to Egypt for 2 weeks flying alone but meeting someone there. I'm landing in Cairo on July 15 but I'm hearing there is a big chance of a huge demonstration on July 8. I would just like to hear some views from a variety of people if possible, does anyone think that this could affect my plane ride landing properly (I flew to Egypt on January 28 but my plane was diverted to Beirut so I never made it)? What about if this could escalate into something major again like the demonstrations that were the biggest since Feb. last night?

Does anyone also have any safety tips to share? I'm really not as concerned with food poisoning etc. as I was because I've done my homework and researched a LOT. But these protests can change the place in a heartbeart.

Thanks all:D
