Hi KBC - I'm baaaaack!!! Happy to hear that you missed me .
Still catching up on un-packing. Taking it easy and re-adusting to time change (9 hours), here in beautiful sunny southern California. Have not even looked at any photos yet. (About 500 plus couple hours of video).
Anyway, stayed all 19 nights at Kings Camp, Timbavati. Reason for that (all 19) is long convoluted story beginning last August 2011. I will do a trip report, explaining more, need time to get a few photos together, so let's target report for before end of June. I'll be happy to give short answers here now for nice short questions, if you wish. In the meantime I'll spout off my 2 cents worth on anything around . Very good to be home.
regards - tom

Tom - I have not been on the forum for a long time - but just popped back in today to see what's new. I saw this and I think you were at my table for dinner one night. My sister and I were at King's Camp on May 16 and 17. You weren't in the vehicle with us for game drives - but I think you were at dinner with us. I am so sorry - I wish I had known you were going to be there or had realized it was you, as I would have loved to chat further!! I hope you had a fabulous time! It was my first stay there and I loved it!

I was the old guy, white hair, glasses, by himself. I do remember an Ann. Trying to place two ladies, is one of you a travel agent? I sat to your left? Anyway, I'm also sorry we missed our Fodors connection. In past safaris I have had a couple and it is fun. Maybe next year : ) .

Yes - you sat to my left - and my sister is Susan and has red hair. There was a cute family of four that had been on drive with us also that was there for 8 nights.
I loved seeing wild dogs there - my sister had never seen them before. It was a great trip!

The family of four, from CA, but oldest boy was big football player (tackle) up N/S Dakota Umiv?
Saw the wild dogs on May 11 and May 17th. A pair, male and pregnant female. Only my second time seeing dogs (also in 2009). Did not see them again this trip, you were lucky.
