The 3 of us will have a private driver for several days while we travel the Garden Route. He is a 1 man operation and runs the company himself. Do we need to tip him? If so, any idea how much he should be tipped per day? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Many people feel that the 'owner' of any establishment - driver/guide (as above), restaurant, hairdresser, etc.- don't have to be tipped.
That said though, and as you are already paying this person for the service offered and he does provide what was agreed to, and you wish to provide a tip, I feel $10/person/day would be fine. Maybe offer to pay for beverages along the way, even have him join you for a lunch one of these days... just use your good sense.
I would tip $20 per person per day. It's the same that I tip safari guides. If he's really go
Oops! Fat finger syndrome.
I would tip $20 per person per day. It's the same that I tip safari guides. If he's really good, tip more and vice versa. But tipping is always voluntary.
