Planning on my first African trip at the start of next year, and possibly something like safari one week and beach at the Stonetown for another 3 days. I am hoping to get in touch with people who are actively planning their trip to Tanzania around that time frame and just to compare notes etc., and possibly sharing guides and vehicle for the safari.
I am NYC based and you can email me directly at gmail with this username.
Best,
Daisy

Hi, here's a bump
and I sent you an email for the safari part,in February, to hopefully experience the migration herds and all they bring!
If a solo traveler it's often difficult to find a travel partner/s or even a group going where you wish. You might though want to check the Lonely Planet Thorntree site for others with like wishes.

Otherwise, there's a wealth of information here on Fodor's about recent planning/actual trip reports, see: http://www.fodors.com/community/africa-the-middle-east/new-east-africa-trip-report-index.cfm
or do a search in the box above...
Also, from bookstore or Amazon or from library - Brandt Guide for Tanzania, Lonely Planet's Kenya, Fodor's "Complete Safari Planning Guide."
Or just tell us what's of concern, issues, etc.
