Storage At AMS

Does anyone know or has done this? We will have a layover in AMS from EWR to NBO and would like to store a suitcase at the airport with warm clothes for our week in europe on our way back. Would this work, with securty and customs, we only have a 2 1/2 hour layover in AMS. We will be flying Cont. to AMS and Air Kenya on KLM aircraft to NBO. Any suggestions?

Here's a link to Schiphol Airport's website:

Change the language to English and do a search for left luggage. You can store your luggage for up to one month and the costs are listed (somewhat expensive). Theft can be a problem at AMS, so lock everything well!

Thanks ShayTay
One of my concerns is being a in-transit passenger, not actualy entering the country, not sure how the process goes at AMS, I think the luggage storage is outside securty and dont know if we want deal with going to pick up bag and checking it and then going to the KLM ticket counter and going through the whole process or it just the easest to go from gate to gate. not sure if you have to clear customs in AMS if you just in-transit.

US-AMS-NBO is just a walk from your arrival to your departure gate, no immigration or customs in between.

I thought there was luggage storage airside, but I may be wrong.

If not, have you considered just having your tour operator in Nairobi hold your bags while you're on safari. This probably won't cost you anything. Or are you not returning via Nairobi afterwards?

Nevermind, the airside storage lockers I was thinking about only allow storage for up to 7 days (168 hours), so that probably wouldn't work for you.
