Looking for any tips on our idea of taking our honeymoon in South Africa. We're looking for a mix of nature and cosmopolitan. Not looking for tropical vacation so hot temperatures aren't that important.
South Africa in July or August for honeymoon

I posted some ideas in the link above but to add to this should you wish to explore the Garden route.
Day 6: Explore the coastal town of Hermanus
Situated in the heart of the historical village, Harbour House Hotel has been modelled after its original architecture, a thatched roof seaside manor house built in 1920.
Day 7: Head toward George
The Fancourt is a fine blend of modern luxury and classic elegance which offers accommodation that caters to every taste. Option to play golf
Day 8: Head towards Kynsna and Plettenberg Bay
Stay at Kurland is the ideal retreat along the Garden Route of South Africa. Situated in the foothills of the Western Cape Mountains within a vast and beautiful private estate, complete with its own polo club, Kurland is the stuff of holiday fantasies.
Day 9: Stay at a Coastal Reserve
Located between Knysna and Port Elizabeth lies Oyster Bay , a beautiful Coastal Reserve which is set on 235 hectares and incorporates magnificent dunes, woods, river deltas, beaches, wetlands, lagoons, free roaming horses and an extensive birdlife.
You could also base your honeymoon in one or more of these fine places. Bear in mind that it is rainy season in the Cape - we have winter rain fall.
Alternatively the weather on a safari is ideal in July. Not too hot so perfect for game spotting and low risk malaria. For the experience of a lifetime.
