South Africa - Cape wine lands - Suggestions organized wine tasting tour
We'll be traveling through the Cape wine lands (Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl) in March 2015. We ourselves have visited this part of South Africa many times before and have visited numerous wine farms.
This time our son and his wife will join us. Both are very interested in learning more about wines and wine growing. I would like to offer them a day's wine tasting as a present, while we take care of their two small children.
I have checked the internet but sofar have not found anything interesting yet. Any suggestions?

We have been wine tasting at Zorgvliet followed by a picnic arranged by the winery. Can recommend it. Wine tasting at Groot Constantia was quite educational and they have restaurants onsite. Same with Spier.

Many of the wineries, as you may know, have restaurants. I wouldn't go to Spier (in 8 years of spending winters there I have to say we've never been there) as it always seems far too commercial. Groot Constantia is lovely, but Stellenbosch is where you find the greatest concentration. And a wine merchant friend of ours says he's always heard that Stellenbosch is the most beautiful wine growing area in the world. We wouldn't disagree.
You should be able to find tours online - I search 'wine tours Stellenbosch' and found lots.
Some possibilities: Vergelegen - Great wine, and amazing garden, good restaurants. They offer a picnic under the camphor trees which is always wonderful. Delaire Graaf, again, restaurants, gardens, etc. Too many to list.

And Vin de Constance comes from Klein Constantia. We like both, and the Constantia area, but I didn't think the OP was looking for a particular wine, more a wine experience, and I still think Stellenbosch is full of wonderful vineyards with amazing wine. And lots of people offering tours.
