hi - does anyone have a strong opinion on diving the seychelles vs zanzibar/pemba? am planning a 2-wk trip in october, 1st wk tanzania, not sure if seychelles is worth the additional time/money. thanks

While the Seychelles are lovely, they are still a 3-hr flight from NBO and hotels/food can be expensive. You can stay in the coastal areas of East Africa and enjoy diving a Pemba Island (check or inquire about Pemba Afloat) where you live on these 20-meter boats docked in a secluded cove. Another good dividing spot is off the coast from Dar-es-Salaam by short flight is Mafia Island. Limited lodging here, but lovely and I understand the diving is outstanding. Prices in both areas are all inclusive and reasonable.
