Has anyone recently driven one way from Vic Falls area across Caprivi Strip to Etosha or Windhoek? Looking for suggestions for lodging along the way. Also, wanting to know speed limits. Road looks tarred but viamichelin gives a 9 hour estimated time to Rundu for a distance of only 500 km. Just wondering what to expect.
Finally, any info on rental companies who allow this one way rental?

Hi - I was posting as you were!
As mentioned we did this the other direction a couple of weeks ago. See my comments in the Caprivi post regarding an alternative to starting your rental car in Livingstone.
Re speed limits - the trans Caprivi highway is 120km in some stretches (good tar road) - to give you an idea of time it took us just over 5 hours from Rundu to Katima Mullilo. From Etosha (Van Lindequist Gate) to Rundu was also just over 5 hours (all tarred roads).
